Now starting with institutes and PhD courses they are offering first of all we have:
Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences, Nainital: ARIS is offering admission in courses like:Astronomy and Astrophysics, and Atmospheric Physics.
Then there is Bose Institute, Kolkata which is offering admission in courses like:Atmospheric sciences, Biophysics, Complex systems and networks etc.
So I have listed out all such institutes exhaustively in the video given below and what you can do is watch the video and carefully select which course you want to do and from which institute.
Now lets look about the eligibility criteria.
Here you can find the specific course at a particular institute and the eligibility which is required for it for example to pursue Theoretical Computer Science at IMSc you should have done M.Sc./ M.E. / M.Tech. in Computer Science.Similarily for Ph D in Neuroscience at NBRC you are required to have done M.Sc (Physics/ Mathematics), B.E/ B.Tech/ M.C.A in Computer Science.I have listed the eligibility criteria for all the courses exhaustively and you can carefully look for the eligibility of the any course.
Now let me tell you about PhD Programme Eligibility in detail:
So for this the common eligibility required by all the institutes is M.Sc. in PhysicsHowever,some institutes accept B.E. / B.Tech. / M.Sc. / M.E. / M.Tech. in disciplines of Applied Physics and Mathematics, as listed in the video.
For example for PhD from IIA you should have done
M.Sc. in Mathematics / Applied Physics / Applied Mathematics / Optics and Photonics / Instrumentation / Electronics.
Similarily for Integrated M.Sc. / M.Tech - PhD Programme (Physics)
the eligibility is given seperately for various institutes like
IMSc requires you to have done B. Sc. (Physics)
and so on.
