Students interested in any of the below mentioned courses can study abroad with scholarships:

(i) Undergraduate courses: Those 12^th pass students who wish to do their graduation from china can study abroad with scholarships.

(ii) Master’s courses: Those graduate students who wish to do their post graduation from china can study abroad with scholarships.

(iii) Doctoral courses: Those post graduate students who wish to do their PhD from china can study abroad with scholarships.

(iv) General Scholar courses: Anyone who wish to do a general scholar course from china can study abroad with scholarships.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA to study abroad with scholarships:

(a) Citizenship:

Student must be a permanent citizen of India and at the time of applying should be residing in India.As per this criteria it becomes necessary for the student to be residing in the country as this study abroad scholarship is available only to Indian citizens.

(b) Qualification:

i) To get scholarship for undergraduate course: student must be a high school graduate,i.e. student should have passed class 12^th from any education board of India.

ii) To get scholarship for master’s course: student must be a bachelor’s degree holder from any recognized university in India .

iii) To get scholarship for doctoral course: student must be a master’s degree holder from any recognized university in India.

iv) To get scholarship for general scholar course: student must be a high school graduate i.e. he/she must have cleared Class XII (at least).

v) To get scholarship for senior scholar course: student must be a master’s degree holder OR an associate professor (or above).

i) To get scholarship for undergraduate course: student must be under the age of 25.

ii) To get scholarship for master’s course: student must be under the age of 35.

iii) To get scholarship for doctoral course: student must be under the age of 40.

iv) To get scholarship for general scholar course: student must be under the age of 45.

v) To get scholarship for senior scholar course: student must be under the age of 50.

Final selection of candidates rests with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China. Nominations to study abroad with scholarship would be made in a proportional manner according to the number of applications received under each degree program.

AIRFARE: The Government of India will bear the cost of airfare for onward air tickets only i.e. India to China for the candidates who are finally selected to study abroad with this scholarship.

How to get this study abroad scholarship?

To get study abroad scholarship you need to apply online on two different portals.Just go through these steps carefully:

SUBMISSION OF ONLINE APPLICATIONS:

Candidates/Students must necessarily apply on both of the following websites/portals to be considered for getting nominated for study abroad scholarship.

(i) First website is the Chinese Scholarship Council’s Online Application System .

Students are required to upload the following documents while applying for study abroad

Scholarship on MHRD’s portal:

(a) PDF of the application form submitted on Chinese Scholarship Council’s Online Application System .

(b) Self attested copy of class X mark sheet, class XII mark sheet, degree certificate (UG/PG/Doctoral as applicable). Please note that if your degree is awarded in terms of GPA, student must upload the official procedure adopted by the University/Institution for conversion of GPA to Percentage.

Selection/nominations to study abroad with scholarship for Indian Students will be done by the Ministry of Human Resource Development:

MHRD will follow this certain criteria to nominate Indian students to study abroad with scholarships:

CRITERIA FOR NOMINATION: The criteria of selection/nomination to get study abroad scholarship for Indian students will be as follows:

i) For undergraduate course, merit list would be based on Class XII marks (80% weightage) and Class X marks (20% weightage).

ii) For Master’s, Doctoral, General Scholar and Senior Scholar course, priority for nomination would be given to candidates who have completed their last qualifying exam either from Institutes of National Importance (INI)/Central Universities (CU)/ Centrally funded Technical Institutes (CFTI)/National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accredited institutions.

Important Note:

(i) The study of Chinese Language Course of about one year is mandatory before starting study in relevant subject in Chinese Language.

ii) Hiding or Denying to provide any type of requested information will result in cancellation of candidature.

iii)MHRD is only a coordinating body and the the final selection of the nominated candidates to study abroad with scholarship rests with the Government of People’s Republic of China.

iv) Any kind of correspondence will be made only on email provided at the time of registration.

Step 1: Visit "CSC Study in China" website and click "Scholarship Application for Students " at or http://www.campuschina.org Register an account through CREATE AN ACCOUNT) and login with your account.

Step 2: Input Personal Details.

Step 3: Select the correct "Program Category"

Step 4: Input the correct Agency Number

Step 5: Input Application Information

Step 6: move on to the section of "Language Proficiency and Study Plan" and upload "Supporting Documents" as requested.

Step 7: Click "Submit"
