An important aspect of this scholarship is that 50% of the scholarships are reserved for girl students.There are 1000 scholarships worth Rs 48000 per annum each which are being offered to meritorious SC/ST students.
Given below is a complete list of number of scholarships being offered to various courses along with qualifying exam details.As you can see that for engineering and medical scholarship the student should have qualified 10+2 from science or math stream respectively.
Eligibility:
1. Candidate applying for this scholarship should be a citizen of India.2. Candidate should be a student of 1st year of Graduate Engineering B.Tech/ B.E or MBBS courses.
3. Candidates should be enrolled in a full time graduation course from AICTE/MCI/UGC/Association of Indian Universities affiliated university.
4. Min marks obtained in class 12th should be 60% for engineering and MBBS students.
5. Scholarship will be based on zone in which the student gave his/her 12th class exams,instead of domicile of the student.
6. Annual Family Income of SC/ST candidate should not be more than 4.5 lakhs per annum.
7. Upper age limit is 30 years as on 1st oct 2019.
8. Candidates getting any other scholarship is not eligible to apply.
9. Candidate getting tution fee waiver can apply.
10.Renewal of the scholarship will not be done if candidate fails to score above 5 grade points out of 10 in previous semester.
How to Apply.
Step 1: Download the prescribed application format here.Step 2: Fill in the application Form and get it duly certified and forwarded by Head/Principal/ Dean of the Institute/ College/University and send it to designated ONGC office.

1. Passport size photograph duly certified by head /principal of the institute.
2. Caste certificate.
3.Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY):
(Attested copy of proof for Date of Birth to be
enclosed – 10th marksheet/ Birth certificate).
4. Annual income of the family from all sources :
Self-certified certificates should be verified by the Head of the Institution, where the applicant is studying.
5. PAN No:
Copy of PAN Card is also to be enclosed in favour of the applicant.
6. Bank account in the name of the candidate.

1. Applications will be received offline by ONGC till 15th oct 2019.2. The final list of the scholarship beneficiaries is likely to be posted on website www.ongcindia.com by the 10.12.2019.
